The Rangers placed in the top 4 at four different tournaments during the year (1st at The Colony Cougar Classic, 2nd at the Heritage Duals, 3rd at the Trail Blazer Invitational, and 4th at the St. Mark's Christmas Open). The team also posted its best dual meet record in program history, going 15-2 overall and 9-1 in district. With only two seniors on the team, younger wrestlers have stepped up in a big way.
While Senior La'Stot Pleasant is one of the most seasoned wrestlers in the State, the rest of the line-up has provided a lot of balance to the team. While most don't have the record that Pleasant has (currently 41-0), most of the lineup have tallied 20 wins on the season. Senior Deontaye Przekop (25-12), Junior Marcus Moseman (20-19), Sophomore Kaden Knight (20-10), Junior Scotty Trouy (22-14), Junior Nick Woolston (30-11), Freshman Danial Sajanov (24-15), and Junior Nathan Wise (23-12) have all placed at tournaments this year and put a lot of points on the board for LSHS Wrestling.
While Pleasant is the prohibitive favorite to repeat as District Champion at 132lbs, the majority of the team is on the bubble to place in the top four (top 4 qualify for Region) and advance. Four LSHS wrestlers are seeded 3rd and one seeded 4th at this weekend's District Tournament at The Colony High School.
