The Lone Star High School wrestling team kicks off its season this weekend, November 16th and 17th, at the Heath Invitational at Rockwall Heath High School. JV wrestlers take the mat on Friday at Noon. Varsity boys and girls will wrestle at 9:00am on Saturday.

The Heath Invitational is in its 10th year and boasts a good mix of strong 5A and 6A teams. It will be a great early season test for the Rangers. Senior State Placer Michael Gaisoa (220 lb weight class), Junior State Placer La'Stot Pleasant (132 lbs), and Senior Regional Placer Naseer Willis (145 lbs), will look to solidify their status as contenders by winning what promises to be tough brackets in their respective weight classes.
